Rules 2005 2005 CLASS RULES PREFACE ALL CLASSES; Glueing of motor and bearings, sanding and nail polish of tyres allowed in all classes. Front tyres free.
GROUP A SCX Rally, Any model SCX rally car. No magnet, box standard
SCX F-1, Any model SCX F-1 including original club cars. No magnet, box standard.
Classic Le Mans, Classic profile sports prototypes/GT’s from approx 1965 to 1972. No magnet but weight may be added. No part of the car can be removed to accommodate weight. Rear tyres can be Ninco’s. Cars allowed, Scalex GT-40, Fly GT-40, 908 ( all models ), 917 ( all models ), 512, 365, Lola T –70, 911, Spirit 512.
DTM, Scalex CLK and Opel, 1000g magnet. Ninco CLK, TT, BMW, 750g magnet
GROUP B Classics, All model must use a NC-1 motor and can add weight. No magnet. Cars allowed, Ninco 166, Testa Rossa, XK 120, Cobra, Austin Healy, 356. Carrera Maserati A6, D-type, Mercedes 300, Astin Martin DB-3. MRRC Cobra Monagram Corvette GS
V-8 Supercars, Original magnet must be glued on a 5 cent piece in the middle magnet position. 10g of weight can be added in the front of the car behind the pick ups.
SCX DTM, SCX DTM cars with magnet removed, box standard.
Modern Le Mans, Modern sport prototype/GT’s from mid 90’s onwards. No magnet.
NASCAR, Scalex models only, box standard Classic NASCAR, Carrera models only, box standard
About the Club The CAR RACE Club is a friendly local club, we encourage entusiasts in the area to join us.
We race Sprint Rounds every two weeks through the year, plus Oval Track (NASCAR, IRL) and Hill Climb special classes. See the relevant Rules section on the left hand menu for details of car classes.
